Lifespan Assessment Services, PLLC, offers comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological, and educational evaluations of children, adolescents, and young adults. Upon special request, we have evaluated adults as well. However, our specialty is the evaluation of youth with neurodevelopmental challenges. Our evaluations are designed to better understand the nature of a person’s challenges so that effective intervention may be obtained. We can assess ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, psychiatric issues, other neuropsychological issues, giftedness, and dual exceptionalities.
Our evaluations begin with an initial intake meeting via Zoom or in person. The next steps include the completion of questionnaires, conducting a neurodevelopmental status evaluation, gathering anecdotal data, and administering standardized tests. Each battery is tailored to the individual and referral questions. After the testing, you will meet with the psychologist to discuss the results and recommendations. These results and recommendations will be discussed in a manner that articulates a neurodevelopmental profile of strengths and challenges. This profile will provide the foundation for carefully considered recommendations. Once the feedback session is conducted, a report will be completed and sent to you. Reports may be sent to the primary healthcare provider, other medical professionals, and other agencies upon request.
The recommendation section will include general medication recommendations (if appropriate), therapy directions and topics, possible accommodations (for a 504 plan, IEP, or the College Board), and recommendations to a social service agency regarding eligibility. Included within these recommendations will be parenting strategies and directions as well. If the evaluated individual is working with a current therapist, follow-up with the therapist will be encouraged. If no therapist is involved, it is possible to have follow-up services through Lifespan Psychological Services, PS. An additional referral may also be made to another therapist in the community.
