Lifespan comprises two clinical psychologists – Jane Curtis, PhD and Steve Curtis, PhD, NCSP, MSCP. Both are licensed Clinical Psychologists in Washington State. Dr. Curtis is also a Licensed Clinical and Certified Prescribing Psychologist in New Mexico. Lifespan also has a psychology doctoral intern, Ilana Waite, MA, LMHCA. Together we have provided psychological services to the people of Bainbridge Island, the surrounding Puget Sound area, and statewide since 1999. We provide both in-person and telehealth appointments. We have a well-equipped clinic for in-person visits and state-of-the-art equipment for telehealth visits. Once we have PSYPACT approval, we will provide services to individuals in PSYPACT states (for more information, go here).
“Lifespan” comprises both Lifespan Psychological Services, PS, and Lifespan Assessment Services, PLLC. Lifespan Psychological Services, PS offers psychotherapy, consultation, and medication management services (New Mexico only). We accept several major insurance carriers in Washington State, including Premera, Regence, and Medicare. We accept Providence and Blue Cross/Blue Shield in New Mexico. We take a limited number of Medicaid patients in both states. We will submit the necessary paperwork for insurance reimbursement as a courtesy to you. Mills Quick Recovery Bill and Collect Incorporated conducts our insurance billing. If there are billing questions, please get in touch with us first, and we will interface with our billing service as needed.
We do not accept insurance for evaluations completed through Lifespan Assessment Services, PLLC. Insurance companies have increasingly limited reimbursement for psychological and neuropsychological testing to the point where the reimbursements are insufficient to fully cover operating costs. Once the evaluation is completed, we will provide you with a superbill to submit for out-of-network benefits.

Dr. Steve Curtis completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, his doctorate at Utah State University and completed a predoctoral internship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1991 and is currently an Affliate Professor in the PsyD Clinical Psychology Program at Antioch University, Seattle.

Dr. Jane Curtis completed her doctorate at Utah State University and her predoctoral internship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She has worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1992.
